Penelope Cruz has put her stunning Hollywood home on the market for a mere snip at $3.7m.The actress is selling the open-plan, single-storey house that overlooks the city’s famous Sunset Strip that she has owned since 2005.But after leasing it out in 2008, Cruz, 36, who also owns properties in Los Angeles and her native Madrid in Spain, has decided to sell up.

It boasts three bedrooms and bathrooms and an outdoor swimming pool complete with a sparse terrace decorated with beautiful white loungers and a dining table. And for that extra bit of comfort to relax by the pool, the terrace also has a canopy bed for those lazy summer nights.

Visitors to the house are greeted by big, heavy wooden doors which give residents that extra bit of privacy.Guests then step through the doors into a tiled courtyard that leads up to two large glass doors which open into the main house.There is also another courtyard at the back which features a small fountain and chairs to cool off away from the hot California sun.

But sadly for those interested parties, Ms Cruz will not be showing the house personally.The Vanilla Sky star is currently in Paris shooting an advertising campaign for the new Lancome fragrance Tresor.Penelope, who became the face of the scent last month, is in the French capital with acclaimed photographer Mario Testino, who is shooting the ad, and last week she was pictured hard at work with Testino on the balcony of the Hotel de Crillon.
