Many people use MoneyPak cards to load money into their prepaid account. However, these people need to be cautious as there are many people who ask them for their MoneyPak activation number to pay for something fictitious.

Adding money to your prepaid account using MoneyPak is easy; however you must guard the 14-digit activation number with your life. There are many fraudulent websites that will cheat you and transfer your money to their account.

MoneyPak users are advised caution when they deal with unfamiliar companies and people. Anyone who is asking you to make upfront payment with Green Dot – MoneyPak is possibly a scam.

Here is an experience shared by our reader who was cheated by an online retailer. Mr. Scott who had seen an advertisement for gym equipment at an online classified. The site was professional and required the user to pay upfront for the product he had liked. Once the payment was made using Green Dot – MoneyPak, the company stopped responding to mails and calls of Mr. Scott.

So if you want to buy a product or service online, it is in your interest that you deal with reputed companies. Avoid buying products or service from companies that you are not familiar with, even if you give you a good deal. Under no circumstances should you share your MoneyPak activation number with a stranger.
