The car was a huge success as it had a decent boot space and the passengers could seat comfortably in the car. Most owners looked at A-star as an alternative to the popular Maruti Zen. The company targeted the young population of the country by reasonably pricing the car and giving it sporty interiors. Also, the company had fitted 1 litre K series engine that offered great driving comfort and excellent mileage.

Maruti launched the automatic version of the A-star on Independence Day will free you from the trouble of pressing the clutch and changing the gears. With the launch of the automatic version of the car, the company has made it convenient to drive the car. However, people who have used the manual version of the car will find the automatic version a bit stiff and heavy.

The new automatic A-star is easy to drive on city roads. Maintaining the car is easy and the company has many service centres which makes it easy to drive the car. Apart from changing the gearbox of the car, the company had also introduced features like ABS, front and back power windows, power steering and an integrated stereo system.

Overall the A-star automatic is an excellent car to drive and own. However, with the price tag of Rs. 4.35 lakhs in Delhi it is not the cheapest hatchback car.
